Troop 17, Boy Scouts of America is sponsored by Fairview Fire Company, Poughkeepsie, NY.
We are a troop that enjoys camping, backpacking, hiking and many other activities. Between September and June
we usually have at least one outing per month. Troop 17 has been in existence for about 75 years. We are located
in Poughkeepsie, NY and meet every Tuesday night at Violet Avenue School.
Our troop size averages about 50 scouts each year. We currently receive Cub Scouts from several packs in the
area: Pack 17, Pack 53 and Pack 80.
